Hey there, and welcome to my blog!
(Please excuse the temporary, mid-workout, sweaty selfie. Just trying to put a face to the name)
My name is Andrew Rainville. I’m 25 years young working for a private personal training studio called Spectrum Fitness Consulting, located in Beverly, MA.
Here are my credentials:
– Bachelor of Science from Salem State University, Class of 2013
– Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
– Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
– Certified Sports Nutritionist through the International Society of Sports Nutrition (CISSN)
Already in my short career in the fitness and wellness field, I’ve helped hundreds of individuals with a wide range of differing abilities and injuries reach their goals and live stronger, healthier lives. My background and experience as both a trainer for Spectrum and as a Physical Therapy Aide at Orthopaedics Plus (the outpatient physical therapy clinic Spectrum is attached to and in partnership with) make me well-adept at working with anyone who seeks to achieve improved fitness and function.
Finding the complete training plan that’s right for you is a science. It’s so much more than just doing box jumps until you collapse or mindless burpees until you throw up.
I believe in training with a purpose and knowing what to do and what not to do. But most importantly: why?
If you know the answer to the why question, it will be much easier to adhere to your plan and your chances of success skyrockets.
It’s about working smarter, not always harder.
I hope to provide you with fun, research-supported posts that can be easily understood by many, not just a select few. I will always stay in pursuit of the truth with everything fitness and nutrition-related because health is wealth!
